Summer

Sizzling sidewalks
Stray dogs pant with tongues in heat
Wishing for water

Winter

Wind blows violently
Eyes blinded by white soft flakes
Nothing to be seen

Spring

Tap tap the rain falls
Giving life to red tulips
Stronger they grow tall

Fall

Beneath the night sky
Crickets in the cool pasture
Waiting for the sun

Home

As you look through the great bay window
All you can see is sunlight
Shimmering across the stretch of meadow

When you walk through the pair of oak doors
All you can feel is wind
Brushing against your skin as rain pours

As you graze against the granite counter tops
All you can smell is fragrance
Lingering of lavenders from nearby pots

When you sit by the crackling fireplace
All you can taste is chocolate
Steaming from the mug in your embrace

As you wait for sleep in the comfort of your bed
All you can hear is noise
Resonating from crickets outside instead
