Wicked Beautiful is a slight twist on a second chance
romance. Fifteen years have passed. For Victoria, it’s fifteen years of
heartbreak, mending, and drastic changes in her life. For Parker, it’s fifteen
years of figuring out his life without Isabel, the woman Victoria used to be.
Apart, they have both become very successful people. Victoria: a spokesperson
for women, selling books and giving talks all over the country. Parker: a famous
restaurateur, opening multiple successful restaurants all over the country.
But when they laid eyes on each other one night, there is a problem…Parker
doesn’t know Victoria is girl he used to love. One thing they can’t deny: the
instant connection and attraction is still there.
Thoughts:
When I read the synopsis, I was very intrigued. How does
Parker not know it’s her? And when will he finally recognize it’s her? There definitely
has to be a story there (of course). In this situation, Victoria has the upper
hand. She can finally get the revenge against Parker for leaving her without a
word and breaking her heart. Most importantly, she just has to make sure not to
get burned along the way.
Plot line – This is a dual POV story. There is more on
Victoria’s part because she really does drive the story. But, getting a glimpse
in Parker’s head is definitely just as interesting. What has to be going
through his mind while Victoria tries to mess with it? Oh, you’ll get to see
the emotional rollercoaster with both characters.
Chemistry – Oh hot damn. No matter how long time has passed,
that chemistry is still there. And don’t get me started on Parker…swoon-worthy
guy alert! He is one hot, sexy guy who goes after what he wants. All of his
gesture, movements, and touches will make you melt into a freaking puddle. When
Parker has all the right moves, the sexy times are just as hot. How can
Victoria not fall in love with him all over again?
Squad – Victoria is one badass character with badass friends.
Darcy is her best friend, who doesn’t hold back. She is sassy and funny, which
actually helps balance out Victoria’s character. Plus, she also pushes Victoria past her
boundaries and makes her see things she would have missed. Tabby is Victoria’s
personal assistant, who knows everything about her (even things Darcy doesn’t
even know). She knows how to keep secrets and prevents others from getting them.
Let’s just say she is one really smart cookie. And, you don’t want to mess with
her.
When everything begins to unravel (all the secrets, lies,
truths, and missing pieces), it is a very fun and enjoyable read.
